Expert Clinical Care Rooted in Research and Experience

Description

With over 13 years of experience across Aberdeen, Glasgow, and Edinburgh, I provide a premier Speech and Language Therapy service for children and young people. My practice is defined by a passion for helping families navigate complex communication journeys, using a Master’s-level research background to ensure every intervention is effective and evidence-based.

Clinical Specialisms
I have extensive experience supporting children with a wide range of communication profiles:

  • Neurodiversity & Autism: A strengths-based approach to supporting neurodivergent communication styles.
  • Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD): Specialist research expertise in how FASD impacts language and social communication.
  • Speech & Language Development: Expert assessment and therapy for speech sound disorders and language delays.
  • Complex & Genetic Conditions: Dedicated support for children with multifaceted learning and communication needs.

A Wealth of Settings-Based Knowledge
Having worked within the NHS in special schools, Enhanced Support Bases (ESB), mainstream settings, and community clinics, I understand the unique challenges children face in different environments. I offer:

  • Home & School Visits: Providing therapy where your child feels most comfortable.
  • Collaborative Support: Working alongside teachers and SEN staff to ensure strategies are integrated into the child’s daily routine.
  • Family-Centered Coaching: Empowering parents with the tools to support their child’s potential every day.

Qualifications & Professional Standing

  • Master of Research (MRes): Specialist focus on Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (2019).
  • BSc (Hons) Speech and Language Pathology – Strathclyde University (2011).
  • Triple Accreditation: Registered member of the HCPC, RCSLT, and ASLTIP.

"I am passionate about the 'why' behind communication. By combining my clinical experience with my research background, I help families move beyond labels to find the specific strategies that help their child thrive."
