About the Practice
When a child’s anxiety, sleep or anger has become part of daily family life, parents need help that is practical as well as clinical. Old Rectory Clinic Dr Helen Fairchild Bristol supports Bristol families with child and adolescent emotional health, parent stress, school pressure and psychological questions that need more than guesswork. The aim is to turn distress into a clearer formulation, a safer plan and language parents can use with school, home and the wider support network.
Clinical Expertise
Depression, low self-esteem, OCD, panic, social anxiety, poor sleep, self-harm, anger, behavioural difficulty, autism, ADHD and learning differences
CBT, parenting approaches, emotional difficulty support and neurodivergence-informed therapy
Experience with autism, ADHD and learning difficulties
Why Work With Us?
HCPC Clinical Psychologist: Parents get a clearer, safer route by seeing the professional role, registration route and clinical scope before trusting someone with their child’s mental health.
CBT and Parenting Route: Support looks beneath behaviour, avoidance or shutdown so the family can understand what the child is communicating.
Practical Family Support: Support can help families understand what keeps the difficulty going and what to practise between sessions.
