Located in the heart of Edinburgh’s vibrant Shore district, Shore Psychology is a unique Community Interest Company (CIC) and Social Enterprise providing expert, evidence-based mental health and neurodiversity support.
Led by Founder and Clinical Psychologist Dr. Amy Homes, the clinic stands out in the private healthcare sector by actively reinvesting its profits into local charity partners, allowing families to receive top-tier clinical care while supporting the wider community.
The clinic provides comprehensive, neuro-inclusive ADHD and Autism assessments for all age groups. They are heavily distinguished by their trauma-informed approach, intentionally shifting the clinical focus from "What is wrong with me?" to "What has happened to me?" This ensures that every assessment is deeply compassionate, capturing the full picture of an individual's lived experience rather than just ticking diagnostic boxes.
Understanding how overwhelming it can be for parents to navigate private healthcare, Shore Psychology offers a free 15-minute consultation call with a Senior Clinical Psychologist to help families figure out exactly what kind of support they need before spending a penny.
Beyond diagnosis, their multi-disciplinary team provides dedicated, ongoing mental health therapy and psychological support for children, young people, and adults.
Please note: Shore Psychology currently has immediate therapeutic availability for self-funding clients, as well as availability for Adult Speech & Language Therapy and Occupational Therapy. There is currently a short waitlist for BUPA-funded clients
