About the Practice
When a diagnosis, loss or abuse has changed how a young person sees themselves, art can offer a gentler route back into expression. Lydia Gilroy Art Psychotherapy gives Manchester families a creative therapy route for children and young people who cannot always explain distress through words alone. The work is therapy, not an art class, music lesson or drama club: the creative medium is used to support emotional expression, regulation and repair.
