About the Practice
When a child’s emotional world needs story, character or movement before conversation, dramatherapy can make the work less frightening. Karen McDonald Arts Psychotherapy gives Birmingham families a creative therapy route for children and young people who cannot always explain distress through words alone. The work is therapy, not an art class, music lesson or drama club: the creative medium is used to support emotional expression, regulation and repair.
