About the Practice
When parents do not know whether art, music, drama or movement is the right route, a referral service can help narrow the first step. Birmingham Creative Arts Therapy Network gives Birmingham families a creative therapy route for children and young people who cannot always explain distress through words alone. The work is therapy, not an art class, music lesson or drama club: the creative medium is used to support emotional expression, regulation and repair.

Why Work With Us?
Arts Therapy Referral Route: Parents can see the professional route behind the work, including protected-title or professional-body signals where available.
Modality Matching: Creative arts therapy can help a child communicate through image, sound, story, movement, metaphor or making when direct questions create pressure.
Parent and Setting Awareness: The family can start with the problem and be guided toward the creative therapy route most likely to fit.
