About the Practice
When words are not yet available, music can become the first bridge between your child and the adults trying to help. ELM Music Therapy Aberdeen Route gives Aberdeen families a creative therapy route for children and young people who cannot always explain distress through words alone. The work is therapy, not an art class, music lesson or drama club: the creative medium is used to support emotional expression, regulation and repair.

Why Work With Us?
Child-Centred Music Therapy Route: Parents can see the professional route behind the work, including protected-title or professional-body signals where available.
Aberdeen City and Shire: Creative arts therapy can help a child communicate through image, sound, story, movement, metaphor or making when direct questions create pressure.
Parent and Setting Awareness: Parents can use this route to explore music therapy before waiting for a more formal support pathway to open.
