For families in Northern Ireland who have been told the autism assessment wait runs into years, Templepatrick Clinic offers a private diagnostic pathway with a doctor at its centre. The team is led by Dr Suzanne McClure, an experienced paediatrician who has assessed for the Belfast Trust, working alongside speech and language therapists and a clinical psychologist.
Because a paediatrician leads the assessment, the medical and developmental picture is read together, not just the behaviour seen on the day. Children and young people up to 18 are assessed against NICE-aligned standards, so the diagnosis is recognised by schools and the NHS.
You leave with a written report and clear recommendations you can take to school and use to plan support at home. The clinic sees families in person in Northern Ireland.
