About the Practice
When a child or young person needs therapy to feel less clinical and more human, Manchester Museum can become part of the holding space. Holding Space Art Therapy Manchester Museum gives Manchester families a creative therapy route for children and young people who cannot always explain distress through words alone. The work is therapy, not an art class, music lesson or drama club: the creative medium is used to support emotional expression, regulation and repair.

Why Work With Us?
HCPC Art Psychotherapist: Parents can see the professional route behind the work, including protected-title or professional-body signals where available.
Art Therapy in a Cultural Setting: Creative arts therapy can help a child communicate through image, sound, story, movement, metaphor or making when direct questions create pressure.
Parent and Setting Awareness: The setting can reduce stigma while still offering a clinically grounded space for image-making, reflection and emotional processing.
