If your child is stuck on an Oxfordshire waiting list, the Oxford ADHD & Autism Centre offers a private assessment from a team that includes a doctor. Their clinicians bring together a specialist paediatrician, psychiatrists, psychologists, a specialist GP and a speech and language therapist, so the medical and developmental sides are assessed together.
That breadth helps with children whose needs cross several areas at once, and means the diagnosis is thorough and recognised by schools and the NHS. Assessments follow NICE standards, and where ADHD medication may help the medical team can advise.
You leave with a written report and practical recommendations for home and the classroom. Appointments are available in Oxford and online.
